Questions
Here are some of the questions I frequently answer from new clients and outside agencies about my practice.
Things to Know
What are your fees?
Each 50 minute session is $150. A sliding scale fee of $70 is offered based on availability and are 45 minute sessions. If you aren't able to financially commit to weekly or biweekly sessions, consider healing with others in groups. Group therapy is a great way to get introduced to the therapeutic healing process in an affordable manner.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Ambetter, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Advantage, Arkansas Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield.
I am also in-network with EAPs (employee benefit programs) New Direction and Life Works. Check with your employer to see if you can see me for free as an employee benefit.
I also see military veterans through The Wounded Warrior Project. Some veterans may qualify for free sessions.
If you have insurance I can provide you with necessary documentation to provide your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask "is out of network psychotherapy by a licensed counselor in Arkansas authorized?" I can provide a 'superbill' after each session for your possible reimbursement. Here's a really good explanation of what the out of network reimbursement process can look like.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Fees for services can be paid before or at the time of service with cash, debit & credit cards, FSA/HSA.
Do you do see clients outside of central Arkansas?
Yes. Because of amazing technological advances, I am able to see clients that are anywhere in the state of Arkansas. I conduct counseling sessions in a secure online video chat or over the phone with clients to meet the needs of any Arkansan that may be suffering in silence and can't physically come into my office.
Do you see families or couples at The Collective?
Yes. Family or couple sessions are 60 minutes and $175 per session.
Do you speak to groups?
Absolutely. I speak to churches, human resources departments, and other groups regarding career counseling, coping skills, anger management, realistic parenting expectations, Christian and social conflicts, interpersonal relationship building, and NCE testing strategies.

My Collective Approach

How do you bring healing to others?
I think it's important to create relationships with clients and then utilize some of the most effective psychotherapy models available to clients today. It's my belief that most of my clients will benefit from CBT and BSP.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapy that is based on the principle that the way we view a situation has less to do with the situation and more to do with our reaction to the situation itself. A key factor in CBT is helping clients change their unhealthy behavior by identifying their unhealthy beliefs from conclusions they have made from past experiences.
Brainspotting (BSP) works well in conjunction with CBT because it allows clients to unlock the thoughts, memories, and traumatic experiences that the brain has dutifully tucked away that can't be reached in traditional talk therapy.
I believe it is very important to use a variety of therapeutic techniques to bring out the best in each of my clients who are unique and carry their own distinct views and perspectives. Let's unpack your story together, get you unstuck from the patterns and acts that leave you unfulfilled, and start your journey towards genuine contentment.
